Some NFT projects have shaped the history of digital art on the blockchain. CryptoPunks, launched by Larva Labs in 2017, is one of the first NFT collections on Ethereum, and the Bored Ape Yacht Club turned profile pictures into a membership and a community. Others, like Loot, experimented with minimal on-chain metadata that the community builds upon.
This list brings together famous collections, promising newcomers and experimental projects, from generative profile pictures to fashion and gaming. Use it as a starting point to explore the NFT culture, and always do your own research before buying.
